Happy Late Veteran’s Day

Posted on: November 12, 2009

I wanted to make sure that I took the opportunity to say how Thankful I am for the Veteran’s we have.  Without you I’m not sure how this world would be and how safe my family would be.

My sister just got back from Iraq a few weeks ago and visiting with her has made me understand the sacrifice that soldiers make for our freedom here in the U.S. The loss of friends, family, time, and mental and physical things.

Coming back home must be exciting and scary all at the same time. Can you imagine being in harms way 24 hours for a whole year and then come back home where you are safe. No more guns shoots or bombs. No more threat to you or you friends. No more violence or danger or destruction.

My heart goes out to those of you who have fought for our country and the ones of you that have had someone go fight or the ones of you that have lost someone.

My sister had a buddy over in Iraq that got killed while he was there. There was a missile that hit their camp and he was the only one out of all of them that was killed. She had another friend that got diagnosed with cancer while there and came back home only to die a couple of weeks after he came home.

These people sacrifice their lives and families.

Take the time even though it’s not Veteran’s Day and Thank them. Thank them always. When you see someone in uniform thank them. Always Thank Them.

From me to all of you who have served our country Thank You!!!  My heart is soften by your sacrifice.

Many blessings to you and your families. God Bless You!

Make a card for someone you know in your family or a friend. Teach your children about these heroes and what they do for our country. You just never know how much your Thankfulness can reach.
